The SINGALELAH Trek route traverses the ridge along Nepal and Sikkim border right into Sikkim Megu. From there the Trek is within Sikkim and links up the much used Dzongri Trail.
The Trek begins at UTTAREY in South West Sikkim and ascends to Chew Bhanjang on the Sikkim - Nepal border where A Police Check Post exist. From there the trek route keeps between the altitude of 12,000 - 14000 Ft. with the highest Point being at Dafey Bhir Pass located at an altitude of 14,4500 Ft. The terrain along the Trek route is treeless, criss-crossing, steep, rugged rocky Hills with grassy meadows forming flat Plains at places. Within the folds of these fragile Rocky slops, one comes across several high altitude Lake formation of turquoise green Lakes considered sacred by both Hindus and Buddhist. Ram Laximan, Lampokhari. Laxmi Pokhari and Zomay Pokhari are some of the well known sacred Lakes located along the trekking route. The trail also leads through rich Rhododendron forest of many hues and colours. During Spring Season, the trail is rich with forest of silver fir and Rhodedendron from Gomathang right up to the alpine Plains Dzongri.
